Your area of responsibility
Close cooperation with the direct superior, Head of the Building and Environmental Protection Directorate, as well as with various interfaces
Technical, personnel and financial management, support and coaching of the Cantonal Roads, Transport Infrastructure, Hydraulic Engineering and Vehicles divisions
Responsibility for sustainably meeting the future mobility needs of the population and the economy and for the further development of the smooth and sustainable operation of the cantonal transport infrastructure
Defining innovative strategic development priorities in the area of mobility in close cooperation with partners within the cantonal administration and across all three levels of government
Recognizing ecological connections, functionality and design potential in order to continue to offer the canton a high quality of life, attractive settlements, good accessibility and near-natural water areas
Accompanying and coordinating complex and long-term projects through the political process, from planning to implementation
Your profile
University degree in engineering (FH/UNI/ETH)
Several years of successful professional experience in the areas of construction, mobility and environment in a comparable, preferably public organization
Strong leadership experience with a winning and convincing charisma
Experience and flair for navigating the political arena
Sense for pragmatic, cooperative and goal-oriented solutions
High level of cooperation, communication and organizational skills

Our customer
The Civil Engineering Office (TBA) of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, based in the cantonal capital of Liestal, is responsible for the overall concept in the areas of: Road traffic and public transport, planning of the cantonal road and cycle route network and waterways. The TBA is responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of cantonal and high-performance roads, including engineering structures, traffic control systems, road signaling, lighting and the expansion of public transport routes.
