Chairman of the Board of Directors
Your responsibility
Strategic management: development and monitoring of the corporate strategy. Ensuring the long-term competitiveness of the company. Reviewing and approving important investment decisions (e.g. new production abroad).
Managing the Board of Directors: preparing and chairing meetings of the Board of Directors. Ensuring efficient cooperation between the members of the Board of Directors. Moderation of discussions and decision-making processes.
Monitoring the management: reviewing the achievement of management objectives. Evaluating compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Ensuring transparent and effective communication between the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.
Representing the company: representing the company externally, e.g. to stakeholders, authorities, banks and investors. Establishing and maintaining networks and relationships with relevant partners.
Risk management: monitoring financial stability and the risk situation. Definition of risk mitigation measures. Adherence to compliance standards.
Promoting innovation: Providing impetus for technological and process innovations. Supporting the introduction of new production processes or products.
Your profile
Basic technical training in the building trade or a related industry
Continuing education in business administration (FH/ETH/Uni)
Strong leadership personality at the end of the executive career
At least 15 years of management experience in medium-sized SMEs at C-level in the Swiss ancillary construction industry in B2C
Several years of experience as a board member in the ancillary construction industry in Switzerland
Sound knowledge of financial matters to advise the CFO
Sound knowledge of the manufacturing industry in the ancillary construction sector at home and abroad on the subject of automation, production costs and supply chain
Strong network and market knowledge in the ancillary construction industry (CH, D, F, I)
Willingness and sufficient capacity for the planned succession as Chairman of the Board of Directors
